October Updates - No Meeting 10/9, Overnight on the USS Little Rock, and Bobcat Adventure

1) No Den Meetings tonight (10/9). Next Den Meeting 10/16.
2) New overnight opportunity with Troop 194 at Buffalo Naval and Military Park on Saturday 11/9
3) Parents and Cubs should complete the Bobcat Adventure together before our next Den Meeting 10/16!
Details
1) As a reminder, there is no Pack Meeting tonight as everyone recovers from an exciting weekend at Camp Beaumont! For those that did attend, we should have your official camp t-shirts to hand out at our next Den Meeting (10/16). Also, if you have any feedback about the event (either the event generally or our Pack's attendance, please share it with either Jeff or me). Special shoutout to Jeff and the Bear Den for all their work making the event a success!
2) Troop 194 (RRUMC) has invited both Pack 390 and Pack 194 to join them for an overnight encampment on the USS Little Rock, docked at the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park. Attendees will get to: tour the USS Little Rock, USS The Sullivans, and USS Croaker; eat dinner (11/9) and breakfast (11/10) in the USS Little Rock Mess Deck; and sleep in the berthing compartments on the USS Little Rock. Arrival time is 4 p.m. Saturday (11/9) and departure is 10 a.m. Sunday (11/10). The event costs $75/person. If you're interested in attending, please RSVP by contacting myself (brentjosephbeard@gmail.com) before next Thursday 10/17. I will also have a sign-up sheet available at our next Den Meeting (10/16). My boys and I are excited to attend.
3) Each Den has been working to complete their first Adventure: the Bobcat. As part of that Adventure, parents or legal guardians must read the “How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide” booklet and complete the exercises at the end. Please complete the exercises by our next Den Meeting (10/16). Unless you notify me otherwise, the Den Leaders will assume you have completed the Adventure and will award your Cub Scout the Bobcat belt loop during the award ceremony at our next Den Meeting (10/16).
